What your body decides to do with the energy coming into it depends on a lot of factors, and some of them are looked at here. The main takeway is that if your metabolism is slowing, the worst thing you can do is create a large energy deficit.

Hormones exert a huge influence over just about every area of our lives, and the imbalances that come along with perimenopause, and the depleted levels that occur during menopause, can wreak havoc on our physical and mental health. It's also fair to say that these changes come at a time when many women are facing other challenges, and we just aren't resourced to deal with them.
